“Top to bottom” complications of diabetes

Diabetes is not terrible, terrible complications of diabetes! The world every 10 seconds, two people were diagnosed with diabetes, and the world each year 3.8 million people died from diabetes-related diseases worldwide every 10 seconds one people died from diabetes-related disease, estimates the global diabetes population in 2030 will reach 366 million.
Brain:
Arteriosclerosis, could easily lead to stroke.
Eye lesions:
1. Retinopathy
2. Cataract caused by retinal vascular damage
3. Intraocular pressure increased, which may damage the optic nerve causing blindness.
Periodontal Disease:
Reduce the body’s immune system function, periodontal disease will be faster rate of deterioration.
Cardiovascular disease:
1. Arteriosclerosis may cause angina, myocardial infarction
2. Neuropathy easily cause heart palpitations.
Gastrointestinal symptoms: autonomic nervous system or peripheral nerve damage, causing abdominal distension, constipation, diarrhea, incontinence, difficulty in urination, and orthostatic hypotension.
Skin:
1. Microvascular disease, wound healing is not easy.
2. Resistance is poor, vulnerable local infection.
Acute complications:
1. Hypoglycemia
2. Ketoacidosis
3. High osmotic pressure hyperglycemia nonketotic syndrome.
Nephropathy:
1. Caused by edema, proteinuria, high blood pressure and other symptoms
2. Kidney failure caused by uremia, it would take a lifetime dialysis.
Sexual dysfunction:
Microangiopathy may lead to erectile dysfunction such as impotence.
1. Arteriosclerosis to foot the blood less prone to cause intermittent claudication.
2. Neuropathy may cause cold feet, paresthesia.
3. Foot susceptible to infection, slow wound healing.
